The General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) and Cairo University signed a cooperation protocol to prepare and graduate qualified and trained human cadres to qualify health facilities to obtain the authority’s accreditation.
This came within the framework of the concerted efforts of Cairo University and the Authority to serve the Egyptian health system and achieve Egypt’s 2030 vision in improving the quality of health services provided in support of the efforts of June 30 state and the new republic in various directions.
The protocol was signed by Ashraf Ismail, Head of GAHAR, and Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University.
The cooperation protocol aims to prepare and graduate qualified human cadres to provide safe and high-quality health care services in accordance with the accreditation standards issued by the authority and internationally approved by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
This will be implemented through the preparation of the Egyptian Program to build the capacity of trainees (EGYCAP) to implement quality and safety standards in medical services in accordance with the accreditation standards issued by the Commission, after passing the trainee obtains a diploma accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities.
