Gaby, Marianne Khoury to Participate at LAFF's Africa Day Celebration

Prominent film producers Gabi, and Marianne Khoury will participate at the Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) celebration of Africa Day on Saturday.

The festival will celebrate with Africa’s day by screening several African iconic films at Zaywa cinema on June 5.

The committee selected “Al Ard” by Youssif Chahine and the documentary “Anshodet El Wadaa” to be screened at the event. “Al Ard” version that going to be screened is a restored one with English subtitles.

Regarding choosing the film, scriptwriter Sayed Foaad said that the film tackles various themes that suitable for the occasion and being one of the best 100 films in the history of the Egyptian cinema.

After the screenings, a lecture in English will be given to the audience by renowned director Youssry Nasllah.
