Charles Michel, President of the European Council, said that he and the G7 leaders unanimously condemned the unprecedented Iranian attack against Israel.
Michel wrote on “X”: “All parties must exercise restraint, and we will continue all our efforts to work to stop the escalation and end the crisis in Gaza as soon as possible, especially through an immediate ceasefire, which would make a difference.”
He explained, "The situation in the Middle East, including Lebanon, will be discussed in the European Council next week."
The leaders of the seven countries held a video meeting on Sunday to discuss the drone and missile attack launched by Iran on Israel.
