G20 summit, chaired by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will be held virtually on November 21, 22 by videoconference, the group said in a joint statement issued today, Monday.
"The upcoming G20 Leaders' Summit will focus on protecting lives and restoring growth, by addressing vulnerabilities uncovered during the pandemic and by laying down the foundations for a better future." the said.
The statement stressed the group's role in fighting the pandemic, in addition to investing $ 21 billion that in producing and distributing a vaccine a cure, the G20 countries have also allocated $ 11 trillion to support the global economy, according to the statement.
In addition to Coronavirus, the summit will also focus on a number of other issues, including the innovations.
