Fuel prices in Egypt increased by 25 piastres per liter for all types of gasoline, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced on Friday.
The Automatic Fuel Pricing Committee (FAPC) decided in its quarterly meeting to raise the prices of the three kinds of gasoline in the local markets during the upcoming quarter of 2021.
The new prices of gasoline are as the following: 80 octane at EGP 6.50, 92 octane at EGP 7.75, and 95 octane at EGP 8.75.
On the other hand, the committee kept the prices of diesel at EGP 6.75 and gasoline prices for industrial activities at EGP 3900 per ton.

FAPC said that the new decision was made after reviewing the average of oil prices globally, and the exchange rates from January to March.
Moreover, the decision was discussed in light of the latest economic situation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
