FTI Intends To Increase Trips to Egypt in 2020

FTI tour operator revealed that it intends to increase its trips to Egypt by the beginning of 2020, pointing out that it had operated charter flights from France for the first time, in addition to three regular flights to Sharm El Sheikh from different destinations.

FTI's remarks came on Tuesday during its representatives with Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The representatives of the biggest tourism organizer for Egypt in the German markets voiced their interest in pumping more investments in the field of hotels, pointing out that the German holidaymaker is establishing new three hotels.

The meeting tackled aspects of cooperation in the coming phase and the German operators' plans to increase the German tourism influx to Egypt.

Al-Mashat pointed out that the Tourism Ministry set regulations for the joint tourism marketing campaigns (Co-Marketing) to be more effective and cope up with the Egypt-Tourism Reform Program (E-TRP), stressing that the joint campaigns should include elements of Egypt's tourism campaigns like GEM 2020, PeopletoPeople, and Branding by Destination.

FTI delegates expressed a desire in cooperating with the ministry in the joint marketing campaigns.

Moreover, the minister talked about the progress which the Egyptian tourism sector achieved in 2019 like reaching the highest revenues in the sector's history ($12.6 billion).

She praised the charter flight incentive program launched by the ministry in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Ministry, which started on November 1, 2018, till April 2020.
