French authorities have raised security alert level to maximum as the final match of AFCON started but between Algeria and Senegal.
Algerians who celebrated the win over Nigeria earlier, led to riots which ended by arresting dozens in France.
The British ‘Guardian’ quoted Paris police officials that 2500 of additional troops will be deployed to protect the facades of buildings and shops amid fears that a win or a loss for the Algeria team would cause disturbance.
The deployment will mainly target Avenue Champs Elysees and surrounding streets, to avoid sabotage.
The match between Algeria and Senegal is due to end in minutes.
