French President Emmanuel Macron arrived today in Mongolia on a short state visit, after his participation in the G7 summit in the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
Macron arrived in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, on a symbolic but historic visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with regard to environmental transformation, agriculture, agricultural food and civil security, in response to Mongolia's desire to diversify its partnerships and reduce its dependence on its neighbors Russia and China, the Elysee confirmed.
Moreover, Elysee palace said that Macron will hold talks shortly with Mongolian President Okhna Khurlusukh, and Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai.
