The French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, reaffirmed his country's unwavering support for the Lebanese choice of a diplomatic solution, emphasizing France's readiness to engage in any international path that contributes to achieving a ceasefire and restoring stability in Lebanon.
This came during a meeting between Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Regi, and the French Ambassador, where they discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region, with a particular focus on the ongoing negotiations in Washington and their anticipated outcomes.
In return, Regi thanked France for its supportive stance, stressing that the current priority is to establish a permanent ceasefire, halt ongoing Israeli aggressions, and secure the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the south, paving the way for the Lebanese state to extend its authority over its entire territory.
