French Ambassador to Kuwait Anne-Claire Legendre tested positive for COVID-19, Kuwaiti media reports said on Thursday.
The reports quoted the French embassy, stating that Legendre was informed on Wednesday of the result of her Covid-19 test, which affirmed her infection with the virus.
The embassy assured everyone about the Legendre’s health status, asserting in a statement that she isolated herself immediately, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
All those who were in contact with the ambassador during the last days were informed the news.
The embassy added that it had taken all necessary precautions to put all its employees in a complete isolation, pending the examination tests that will be conducted in accordance with the health recommendations.
