French Ambassador to Egypt Eric Chevallier has stressed the importance of close consultation with Egypt and Arab and Islamic countries in advancing peace efforts following international recognition of the State of Palestine.
In his remarks, Chevallier said a broad Arab-European-international coalition is essential to creating real momentum toward lasting peace. “This is why we attach great importance to consultation with Egypt, which was one of the main goals of President Macron’s recent visit at the invitation of President El-Sisi,” he noted.
The ambassador emphasized that success could only be achieved through collective action rather than individual efforts. “If we are not together, we will not succeed. Coordination is essential, and we believe we can make our voices heard together,” he added.
He also pointed to the value of ongoing dialogue between Arab and European partners, calling it “the key to success” in delivering unified messages, particularly in discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump.
