Unknown individuals painted the facade of the El Al airline office in Paris in red on Thursday, along with slogans such as "Free Palestine," in protest against the ongoing war between Israel and the Gaza Strip. This act sparked strong condemnation from French and Israeli officials.
French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarro strongly condemned the act, stressing via Twitter that "there is no place for acts of hatred and anti-Semitism in our Republic." French authorities affirmed their commitment to investigating the incident.
Israel's ambassador to Paris, Joshua Zarka, also condemned the incident, describing the perpetrators as anti-Semites seeking to send violent messages to Israelis abroad. The ambassador affirmed the support of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Israeli people for El Al, indicating cooperation with French authorities to identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable.
So far, the Paris prosecutor's office has not released any official details about the ongoing investigation into the incident.
