Youth, Sports Min Launches 1st Unit of ‘Rayhana’ Initiative to Train Girls from Matrouh

Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Gamal El Din, the Advisor to the President for Remote and Border Areas, Khaled Shoaib, the Governor of Matrouh, and Mohamed Rifai, the CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation have launched the first unit of the "Rayhana" initiative to train girls from Matrouh.

The minister stressed the importance of the leadership program -under the auspices of Entissar el-Sisi, the president’s wife - to empower and raise girls’ awareness, and its role in educating girls, honing their skills, enhancing their abilities to express themselves, activating their role in society, and make them aware of all their rights.

Sobhi added that the importance of the program revolves around highlighting successful models of women and their influence in various fields.

He referred to the ministry's interest in implementing projects and activities in all governorates within youth and sports facilities to spread positive and human values among youth and youth in light of the human-building strategy.

On his part, Rifai mentioned that this initiative is one of the examples of cooperation between civil society and the government, within the framework of cooperation and strategic partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the "Misr El Kheir" Foundation, in order to activate the cooperation protocol that was signed between the two sides in this field.

The CEO of Misr El-Kheir Foundation explained that this initiative aims to coordinate educating girls about their rights to education, health, and social care and introducing them to laws related to their rights through advocacy campaigns and community participation.

The initiative includes 26 units in 26 governments all over the country, as the girls, participating in the initiative were chosen through their interviews by posting the registration link on the Ministry of Youth and Sports page.
