French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi upon his arrival to participate in the G7 Summit held in the French city of Évian.
Macron shared a video on his official Facebook account capturing highlights of the warm reception extended to Sisi. The footage was accompanied by the popular Egyptian song “Helwa Ya Baladi” by the late artist Dalida.
Macron also posted a personal greeting in Arabic, writing: “Ahlan wa sahlan ya Rais Sisi” (Welcome, President Sisi), in a gesture reflecting the close bilateral relations and mutual appreciation between the two leaders.
