France's Ambassador in Cairo Stéphane Romatet said his country will resume tourist flights to Egypt's tourist beach cities as of October.

Romatet's remarks came on Wednesday during his meeting with Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled El Anany, according to a statement released by the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry.

By the beginning of the meeting, Anany lauded the time-honored relations with France in all fields, especially in the archaeological domain, pointing to the close archaeological cooperation between the two countries over the past period.

They discussed the two countries' efforts in the project to develop and upgrade Tanis archaeological city in San el-Hagar and ways of raising the efficiency and development of services in the region, in addition to the possibility of holding a number of workshops and training courses for the ministry’s staff in the field of museums and archaeological sites management.
