France Sends 55 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

France announced that it had sent 55 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine via Poland, including medical equipment, computers, baby formula, and generators.

On Monday, the Foreign Ministry of France said in a statement that this urgent aid worth about 2.4 million euros was sent from Paris to Warsaw (Poland) on a cargo plane.

"In cooperation with the Polish authorities, these materials will be delivered to the Ukrainian authorities with delay," the ministry said.

The ministry added that the medical equipment weighed 10 tons, including in particular ten oxygen generators designated for intensive care units, in addition to 9 tons of medicines.

The aid also includes 31 generators, containing 6 high-capacity generators "aims at strengthening the electrical safety of Ukrainian health facilities."

The aid shipment also includes 8 tons of computers and communications: smartphones, computers, and routers, in addition to 60 kilometers of optical fiber.

These aids are donations shared by French municipalities and companies.
