France recommended, on Saturday, the fourth dose of a coronavirus vaccine to people older than 80 who had their booster more than three months ago.
French Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the news. Castex told Le Parisian newspaper that they were nevertheless stressed the necessity to keep wearing a face mask.
Starting from tomorrow, the European nation will drop the vaccine pass, which is required to enter public spaces such as cinemas or restaurants. However, masks will be required on public transport, and no longer be necessary at work or in school.
Meanwhile, France has recorded more than 23 million cases of Covid-19, more than 140,000 of which were fatal, according to the reports.
In January, the French government cut the isolation period for those who have been fully vaccinated and tested positive for Coronavirus from 10 to 7 days.
“The period of isolation can be extended after five days if the results are negative. Those who have not been vaccinated will have to isolate themselves for ten days, with the possibility of exiting from isolation after 7 days under the same conditions,” Health Minister Olivier Véran told “Le Journal du Dimanche” newspaper.
