On Wednesday, the French Council of Ministers dissolved the Islamic "Baraka City" assembly, which the government accuses of having "ties with the extremist Islamic trend" and "justifying terrorist acts."

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanan said that this Islamic non-governmental organization headed by Idriss Yemou, known as, Idris C. Hamdi, "encourages hatred, has ties within the extremist Islamic trend and justifies terrorist acts."

Darmanan demanded to dissolve the Islamic assembly after the beheading of the history teacher Samuel Patti, who had shown offensive cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his students.

Last week, the French government announced the dissolution of the "Sheikh Yassin" Islamic group, which supports Hamas.
