CAIRO, March 16 (SEE) - The Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates communicated with the Egyptian embassy in New Zealand at the backdrops of a terrorist attack at a Mosque in Christchurch city. The Ministry disclosed that four Egyptians were among the victims.
In coordination with the Egyptian Ambassador to New Zealand Tarek Al-Wasimi, the ministry of migration issued a statement Saturday calling on Egyptian community to directly contact with the embassy of Egypt and report about any absence cases.

Nabila Makram, the migration minister, stressed that “We assigned a professional team to work on and follow up with the developments of the incident.”
During the Friday Prayers, four right-wing hardliners broke into two mosques in the Christchurch city and opened fire on the Muslim worshipers, leaving 51 dead and 48 injured.
On its part, the New Zealand’s government announced that it will send all the victims’ corpses to their homelands, after finishing legal procedures quickly.
“In coordination with the concerned authorities, the Egyptian diplomatic mission in New Zealand investigated a number of missing reports and figured out the identities of the four victims,” Wasimi said.
