Former US National Security Adviser John Bolton launched a scathing attack on former US President Donald Trump, considering him unfit for the position of president and criticizing Trump's statements that he could have prevented the war in Ukraine in light of his relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump said, during an interview with CNN last week, that the war in Ukraine would not have happened if he had been president of the United States.

Trump did not reveal who he wanted to win the war but declared that he could end the conflict within 24 hours, and when pressed by broadcaster Caitlan Collins on how to resolve the conflict so quickly, Trump said he would find a solution by meeting with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Bolton, who served as a national security adviser in the Trump administration, said during an interview with the same American network that the leaders of Russia, China, and North Korea did not view Trump favorably.
