Former Jordanian Parl't Speaker Dies of COVID-19

On Wednesday, former Jordanian Parliament Speaker Abdul Hadi Al-Majali pased away as a result of complications related to COVID-19.

Earlier Tuesday, a source close to al-Majali family confirmed that the late senior official contracted the virus three weeks after receiving the first dose of Coronavirus vaccine.

Who is Abdul Hadi Al-Majali?

Abdul Hadi al-Majali was born in 1934 in Karak Governorate and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Baghdad in 1957.

He held several important positions, including Ambassador of Jordan to the US, Director of Public Security, Minister of Public Works and Housing, as well as Jordanian Parliament speaker.
