Former EFA Spokesman Azmy Megahed Passes Away

Former EFA's spokesman and Zamalek's volleyball's star Azmy Megahed has passed away on Saturday after contracting coronavirus.

His son Amir Azmy confirmed his father's death on his official Facebook page.

Earlier, Amir Azmy had announced that his father's health condition deteriorated after he tested positive for coronavirus.

Azmy was one of the volleyball's stars in Zamalek and Egypt's national team as he won the best African player award in 1974.

Months ago, he had announced that he intends to run for the Zamalek's presidential elections.
