Ambassador Rukha Ahmed Hassan, a former Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, has unveiled the dimensions of the visit of the Prime Ministers of Spain and Belgium to Egypt. He emphasized that there are multiple aspects to this visit, most notably that the Spanish Prime Minister is the current President of the European Union, while the Belgian Prime Minister is set to become the next EU President from the following month.

During a phone interview on the "DMC" channel, Hassan stated that the visit of both the Spanish and Belgian Prime Ministers to Egypt clarifies the situation through a key and direct party in the crisis - the Egyptian side.

He added, "Belgium and Spain are two countries that have dealt positively with the Palestinian crisis, calling on Israel to respect international and humanitarian laws and to avoid committing crimes against civilians."

Hassan also pointed out the importance of President Sisi's emphasis on ensuring the movement of Gazans in the north, center, and south. He noted that Israel's objectives could be indirectly achieved through displacement by preventing citizens from returning to their homes.

The visits of these European leaders to Egypt highlight the country's strategic role in regional affairs, especially in the context of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The involvement of Spain and Belgium, known for their support of the Palestinian cause, indicates a broader European interest in the stability of the Middle East and the resolution of long-standing conflicts.

The article underscores Egypt's pivotal role in facilitating dialogues and mediating conflicts in the region, reflecting its influence and importance in the international arena. This visit also signals the EU's continued engagement and interest in the Middle East, particularly in addressing the challenges faced by Palestine and ensuring adherence to international laws and humanitarian standards.
