Egypt's Former Defense Minister, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi passed away, earlier today, Tuesday, at the age of 85.
Previously, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called Tantawi "the great man who led Egypt in one of the most difficult periods."
It is worth mentioning that, Mohamed Hussein Tantawi was born on 31 October 1935. He is an Egyptian field marshal and former politician.
Tantawi served in the government as Minister of Defense and Military Production from 1991 until his retirement on 12 August 2012.
