Foreign Ministry Follows Up Conditions of Egyptians in Sudan

Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up on the conditions of Egyptian citizens, in all parts of the sisterly Republic of Sudan, around the clock.

Earlie today, Egyptian embassy in Khartoum issued a statement calling on Egyptian citizens in Sudan to exercise maximum caution, stay away from areas of tension, reduce unnecessary movements, and stay at home until the situation stabilizes. 

Moreover, the embassy communicates with Egyptian citizens and students in Sudan to provide them with all aspects of care.

Furthermore, Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all Egyptians in Sudan to communicate with the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum in case they are exposed to any dangers, in order to provide them with the necessary care.

It is worth mentioing that, Egypt has called on all Sudanese parties to exercise maximum restraint amid the country’s ongoing clashes.

A statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Egypt is following the developments of the situation in Sudan with great concern.

"Cairo called for exercising maximum restraint in order to "protect the lives and capabilities of the brotherly Sudanese people, and uphold the supreme interests of the homeland," added the statement.

Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said they were in control of several key sites following fighting with the regular army Saturday, including the presidential palace in the capital and Khartoum airport, reported AFP.
