Foreign Ministry: 6,960 Egyptians Evacuated from Sudan So Far

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zaid stated on Sunday that 6,960 Egyptian citizens have been evacuated from Sudan so far. 

It is worth mentioing that, Egyptian embassy in Khartoum, the consulates in Khartoum and Port Sudan, and the consular office in Wadi Halfa continue coordination with the Egyptian citizens in Sudan to secure their evacuation, respectively.

Moreover, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly called his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, to thank him for Egypt's cooperation in efforts to evacuate British citizens from Sudan.

In a statment, the British Embassy in Cairo, the two sides agreed that the international community must work together to maintain the ceasefire and return to dialogue in Sudan
