G7 strongly condemns Ethiopian violations against Tigray

On Friday, Foreign ministers of  G7 strongly condemned the Ethiopia violations against the Tigray minority, calling on the international community to act firmly against the Ethiopian aggression toward the Tigray civilians.

Foreign ministers of  G7 also expressed concern about human rights violations in Ethiopia's conflict-ridden Tigray.

Moreover, they welcomed an announcement that Eritrean troops would withdraw from the region.

In the same context, the G7 nations stated that they were "strongly concerned" about recent reports of rights abuses in Tigray.

The G7 said the Ethiopian authorities were obliged to bring to account anyone responsible for human rights crimes.

According to a press release issued by the ministers, the G7 Representatives explained "We strongly condemn the killing of civilians, sexual and gender-based violence, indiscriminate bombardments and the displacement of Tigray residents and Eritrean refugees."

Responding to the conflict in Tigray territory, the group of Global leading economic powers made their strong comments affirmed: "All parties must exercise utmost restraint, ensure the protection of civilians and respect human  and civilians rights and international law."

It's worth mentioning that the G7 includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
