Foreign Minister to Visit Athens on Tuesday

Ahmed Abu Zeid, Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, will travel to the Greek capital, Athens, on Tuesday. The visit aims to follow up on the course of bilateral relations between the two countries and to consult on regional and international developments.

The Foreign Ministry Spokesman stated that the visit will include important meetings of the Foreign Minister with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. The meetings will discuss means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries on issues of common interest, as well as continuing political consultations on important regional and international issues.

Abu Zeid added that Shoukry will also meet during the visit with Dmitri Kopelouzis, the head of the Greek Kopelouzis Electricity Companies Association, to follow up on the progress made in the implementation of the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Greece. Shoukry will also give a televised interview to "Skai News", one of the most popular stations in Greece.
