For First Time ... Tourism Ministry Extends Umrah Season until End of Shawwal

In an unprecedented step in organizing Egyptian Umrah trips, the Ministry of Tourism decided to continue organizing and implementing the current Umrah season trips until the next month of Shawwal, while the last return of the Umrah trips be at the end of the same month.

This is the first time in the history of organizing Umrah trips that the season is extended during the month of Shawwal, as the Umrah season used to end with the end of the holy month.

On her part, Samia Sami, Head of the Supreme Committee for Umrah and Hajj explained that this decision came in light of the continuous follow-up of the Central Administration of tourism companies of the course of the Umrah season and the Saudi regulations in this regard, including confronting Illegal entities and brokers.

In a related context, the Ministry of Tourism also decided to extend the registration deadline for pilgrims until April 27, instead of what was scheduled for April 19, provided that the electronic lottery procedure to select the winning pilgrims will stay as it is on April 30.
