On the sidelines of the Russian-African Ministerial Conference, Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met today, Saturday, with Mohamed Mbaye, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Comoros, where the meeting addressed ways to support and strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Abdel-Atty affirmed the depth of relations between Egypt and the Comoros, and the ties between the two countries, stressing Egypt’s commitment to supporting the Comoros in various fields in a way that enhances stability and sustainable development, pointing out to the importance of building on what has been achieved in vital sectors.
At the regional level, the two ministers discussed mechanisms to enhance joint coordination within the bilateral framework and regional and international forums, particularly within the framework of the African Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations, and agreed to continue consultation and coordination to support issues to promote security and stability and enhance sustainable development in the African continent.
