Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Affairs, met on Saturday, December 6, with Børge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum (WEF), on the sidelines of the Doha Forum.
Abdel Atty underscored the importance of opening new avenues for cooperation between Egypt and the WEF through innovative initiatives and ideas to support development efforts.
He also reviewed Egypt's development and economic reform efforts, noting the priority Egypt gives to enhancing the role of the private sector and enabling it to take a leading role in driving the national development process.
Moreover, Abdelatty highlighted the ambitious measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate, remove obstacles facing investors, and offer them further incentives.
The meeting featured a discussion on regional developments, during which the Foreign Minister outlined the determinants of the Egyptian position regarding crises in the region, affirming that Egypt continues its efforts to achieve peace, security, and stability in the region.
