Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received a phone call from Mr. Andriy Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on Thursday evening.

During the call they addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and developments in the Ukrainian crisis.

Abdel-Atty reviewed the trajectory of relations between Egypt and Ukraine, emphasizing the commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors, in a way that serves the interests of both nations.

The Foreign Minister also expressed Egypt's keen interest in hosting a global center for grain storage, supply, and trade, which would enhance food security and related supply chains, highlighting Egypt's advantages in terms of both its geographical location and logistical infrastructure.

On the other hand, the two ministers discussed developments in the Ukrainian crisis, as Minister Atty stressed Egypt’s firm position calling for the continuation of political efforts aimed at reaching peaceful settlements to crises through dialogue and diplomatic means, in order to preserve regional and international security and stability.
