FM, Turkish counterpart discuss latest developments

Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, received a phone call from Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, on Wednesday, to discuss the latest developments in the regional situation.

During the call, the two ministers exchanged views and assessments on the latest developments in the negotiations between the United States and Iran. They emphasized the importance of concerted regional efforts to expedite the resumption of negotiations between the two countries, with the aim of de-escalating tensions and ending the conflict.

Both ministers agreed to continue consultations and coordination in this the delicate phase the region is going through, and to work towards achieving the desired de-escalation in light of the serious repercussions of the current situation on regional peace and security.
