Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Abroad, is set to receive his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaibani, tomorrow, Sunday, in Cairo to discuss bilateral relations and pressing regional developments.

During previous telephone consultations, the two ministers explored avenues to bolster bilateral cooperation across various sectors, with a particular focus on enhancing economic and trade relations.

The discussions also addressed the grave dangers posed by the ongoing military escalation in the region. The ministers reviewed Egyptian and broader regional efforts aimed at containing tensions and de-escalating the situation, particularly in light of recent developments involving Iran.

Furthermore, the ministers addressed the latest updates regarding the Palestinian cause and the situation in Lebanon.

Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's categorical condemnation of ongoing Israeli violations and the ground incursion into southern Lebanon.

He emphasized a complete rejection of these blatant violations, which constitute a direct assault on the security and sovereignty of both Lebanon and Syria, while warning of the dire consequences this continued escalation poses to regional peace and security.
