Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry met on Saturday with his Sudanese counterpart Hussein Awad, on the sidelines of the fifteenth session of the Islamic Summit Conference, hosted in the Gambian capital, Banjul.
At the outset of the meeting, Shoukry expressed his congratulations to his Sudanese counterpart on assuming his duties, expressing his aspiration that the coming period will witness the success of efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in Sudan, and achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people.
Furthermore, both ministers discussed the most prominent activities of the Islamic Summit Conference, expressing their aspiration for its success in enhancing cooperation and coordination among member states.
The meeting also discussed the most prominent developments taking place in the region, especially the situation in the Gaza Strip and Sudan.
Moreover, both ministers expressed their aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and advance ways of cooperation between the two sides in all fields, reflecting the aspirations and depth of relations between the two brotherly peoples.
