FM Stresses Importance of Two-State Solution to Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry stressed on Saturday the need to establish an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967, borders.

At a joint press conference with his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock, Shoukry said that Egypt is currently conducting consultations with Israeli and Palestinian sides to activate the peace process during the coming period.

Moreover, Egypt's top diplomat also underlined the importance of the two-state solution in resolving this conflict.

On her part, the German FM said that her talks with Shoukry tackled a number of files of mutual interest, explaining that Egypt is Germany’s key important partner in the Arab region and North Africa.
