Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdel Atty received a phone call from Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon.
Minister Abdel Aty praised the development of Egyptian-Slovenian relations, highlighting the close ties between the two countries, as well as the outcomes of high-level exchange visits, most recently Fajon's visit to Egypt in May, and their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Both sides exchanged views on regional developments of mutual interest, primarily focusing on the situation in Lebanon and the latest events in Gaza. Abdel Atty outlined Egypt’s stance on the recent escalation and its serious implications for the region.
He stressed Egypt’s commitment to coordinating with Slovenia in light of its membership in the UN Security Council and appreciated Slovenia's support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
