Egypt's Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, met with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra on Sunday in Cairo.
The meeting focused on fostering bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest, as well as reviewing the global efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and accelerate recovery.
Following the talks, Shoukry and Lamamra held a joint press conference.
Lamamra is in Cairo to prepare for the summit of the Arabs, which will be held in Algeria.
In recent months, relations between Cairo and Algeria have been fostered, especially after the recent visit of high-ranking Algerian officials to the Egypt Defence Expo in November.
