Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry headed, Monday, to Washington DC. in an official visit, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
"This visit comes within the framework of intensifying communication and consultations between the two friendly countries, as well as continuing to strengthen all frameworks of the distinguished strategic ties between them, and exchanging visions on the most prominent regional and international issues of mutual concern," the spokesman added.
During his visit, Shoukry will hold talks with his US counterpart Antony Blinken and a number of US administration senior officials.
Moreover, he will also hold meetings with a number of the US Chamber of Commerce members and think tanks in the US.
