Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Expatriates, held phone talks, on Thursday, with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, as part of their ongoing coordination regarding regional developments.
At the outset of the call, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman expressed Qatar’s gratitude for Egypt’s supportive stance following the recent Israeli aggression against Doha, reflecting the deep fraternal ties and strong relations between the two brotherly countries.
The discussion also included an exchange of views on the situation in the Gaza Strip and an assessment of the grave humanitarian and security consequences of the ongoing Israeli operations there.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and joint coordination in international forums, including the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the UN General Assembly, and the Security Council, with the aim of de-escalating tensions and contributing to regional peace and stability.
