Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Imigration, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call with Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, as part of continuous consultations and coordination between both sides.

The two officials reaffirmed the depth of the fraternal and historic relations between Egypt and Palestine, emphasizing their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation to support the Palestinian government and enable it to fulfill its responsibilities.

During the call, both sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.

In this regard, Abdelatty stressed the importance of completing the implementation of the first-phase requirements of the US President's plan.

He also noted that this is crucial to ensuring full access for humanitarian aid and creating the necessary conditions to transition into subsequent phases, ultimately leading to early recovery and reconstruction.

Moreover, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of enabling the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) to assume its responsibilities in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Furthermore, Egyptian FM condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank, including repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also expressed Egypt's categorical rejection of annexation and settlement policies, labeling them a flagrant violation of international law and a direct undermining of the prospects for achieving a two-figure solution.

Furthermore, the discussion touched upon the ongoing preparations for the donor countries' conference scheduled to be held in Brussels later this July.

Abdelatty also reaffirmed Egypt's full support for the Palestinian government, highlighting the vital importance of mobilizing international financial assistance for the PNA. This support is essential to enable the authority to fulfill its duties, provide basic services to the Palestinian people, strengthen their resilience, and foster stability across the Palestinian territories.
