Two phone calls took place between Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, and Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, as part of their ongoing follow -up of the rapid developments in the region.
During the two calls, they reviewed the worrying developments in the region and exchanged assessments of their dire repercussions on the security and stability of the region. They agreed on the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to reduce tensions and contain escalation in the region, taking into account the seriousness of the current situation and its consequences.
They stressed the need to respect international law and the UN Charter.
They also emphasized that the only way to contain tensions is through diplomatic and political efforts to spare the region further instability.
