Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, received a phone call, on Monday, from Ms. Arzu Rana Deuba, Nepal's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The discussion focused on bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, including ways to enhance existing cooperation and explore new prospects for joint collaboration.
Abdelatty expressed Egypt's pride in its distinguished relations with Nepal, emphasizing Egypt's eagerness to hold the second round of political consultations to advance various aspects of bilateral relations and strengthen existing frameworks of cooperation.
Regarding regional developments, the Nepalese minister praised Egypt's tireless efforts, in collaboration with the United States and Qatar, over the past months to achieve the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
For his part, FM underscored the importance of all parties implementing the agreement’s terms without delay.
He stressed the need for intensifying the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and mobilizing international efforts to reconstruct and rehabilitate Gaza’s infrastructure as a step toward restoring normalcy.
