Dr Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, during his visit to Beirut on January 31, met with Nawaf Salam, the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate.
He expressed Egypt's full support for the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate in his new mission, Abdel Ati also praised the Lebanese Prime Minister's announcement that the new Lebanese government will be inclusive and will not exclude any party, which will contribute to achieving national consensus.
Abdel Ati also expressed the Egyptian side’s aspiration to cooperate with the Lebanese Prime Minister and his government to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields.
The Foreign Minister stressed the Egyptian position supporting the implementation of the cessation of hostilities agreement in southern Lebanon.
