FM meets Algerian president

On Wednesday, Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, met with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, during his visit to Algeria.

Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdel-Atty conveyed a written message from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of the greetings and appreciation of the President to his brother, President Tebboune, and his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Algeria under his wise leadership.

The meeting addressed the fraternal and historical relations between Egypt and Algeria, and the growing momentum they are witnessing at the political and economic levels. Minister Abdel-Atty stressed the keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, praising the deep and strong relations between the two brotherly countries.

For his part, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune asked that his greetings and appreciation be conveyed to the President Sisi, praising the depth and strength of the fraternal relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the tangible development they are witnessing in various fields, expressing Algeria's aspiration to continue joint work with Egypt to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
