Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry received on Sunday Evarist Bartolo, Malta's Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, at the ministry headquarters in Cairo.
At the outset of the meeting, Shoukry reviewed the Egyptian point of view regarding the current situation in Libya, especially in light of an irresponsible escalation through the transfer of fighters and terrorists to Libya with the aim of destabilizing the region.
Moreover, the FM stressed that the desired stability and security in Libya will only be achieved by working seriously towards a complete ceasefire and achieving a Libyan / Libyan negotiated political solution.
" The implementation of 'Cairo Declaration' represents an important step towards completing the Berlin political path," he continued.
