Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tileuberdi, on the sidelines of the 48th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), convened in Islamabad.

OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers' meetings are scheduled to discuss several political files, most notably the latest developments in Afghanistan and their humanitarian consequences for the Afghan people, in addition to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, the foreign ministers will also discuss a number of African issues, including the situation in Mali, the Sahel region, and Lake Chad, in addition to Central Africa and Guinea.

At the Arab level, they will discuss the developments in Yemen, Libya, and Sudan, as well as Somalia and Syria.

On March 13, FM started his Asian tour, which included Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Pakistan is the fourth and last stop for Shoukry in his tour.
