Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, held two separate phone calls on Sunday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to consult on the trajectory of U.S.-Iranian negotiations and efforts to reduce regional tensions.

Tamim Khallaf, Foreign Ministry official spokesperson stated that the calls addressed the assessment of recent developments in the region and the progress of negotiations between the United States and Iran.

During the discussions, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of adhering to the preparatory path and intensifying coordination among relevant parties to ensure a sustainable ceasefire and a period of calm that leads to an end to the war.

Moreover, FM stressed the necessity of a full commitment to diplomatic solutions, noting that dialogue represents the fundamental guarantee for protecting the region from the risks of expanding conflict.

He further indicated that establishing sustainable regional security and stability requires respecting state sovereignty and considering the security concerns of regional countries, led by the brotherly Gulf states, while also maintaining the security and freedom of international navigation.

Abdelatty concluded by affirming that continued coordination and joint action remain the only way to support stability and preserve the assets of the region's nations.
