FM Heads for Riyadh to Participate in World Economic Forum

Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry is set to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, April 27, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) and hold crucial ministerial meetings on the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian cause.

According to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid, Shoukry's visit will include a roundtable discussion on trade disruptions and supply chains in the Middle East, an event on enhancing global security and growth, and a high-level session on the situation in the Middle East region.

Furthermore, Shoukry will engage in a series of significant meetings related to the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian issue.

 These meetings encompass a gathering of the six Arab states concerned with following up on the situation in Gaza, a joint meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and another ministerial meeting involving several nations interested in resolving the Palestinian issue on an international scale.

Furthermore, Abu Zeid added that Shoukry will hold bilateral meetings with participating ministers and international officials to explore avenues for strengthening and elevating bilateral relations, as well as to consult on international and regional issues and crises.
