FM, German National Security Advisor Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments

​Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Abroad, received a phone call today, Wednesday, from Mr. Jens Plötner, the German National Security Advisor.

​During the call, Abdelatty commended the distinguished relations between Egypt and Germany across various fields, noting the shared desire to elevate the level of bilateral cooperation to reflect the depth of the ties between the two friendly nations.

He also emphasized the importance of continuing to support and strengthen this partnership in the economic and commercial sectors in the coming period.

​The discussion addressed the rapidly unfolding regional developments.

Moreover, FM briefed the German official on Egypt's efforts aimed at de-escalation and containing tensions.

In this regard, he emphasized the vital importance of continuing the negotiation process between the United States and Iran, stressing that dialogue and diplomatic solutions represent the only way to address all concerns.

​For his part, the German official appreciated Egypt's role in supporting security and stability in the region, as well as the efforts exerted by Cairo to contain regional escalation.

He also expressed his country's aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations with Egypt, expand them into broader horizons, and continue consultation and coordination between the two countries to achieve mutual interests.
